Smalltown Girls meet Captain Jack
Once upon a time a couple of Smalltown girls were searching for a pirate named Captain Jack Sparrow. He was our pirate fantasy and we wouldn’t rest until we found him.

We traveled to the ends of the earth looking everywhere, finding him online, in magazines, posters, and at the movies, we even found a Captain Jack action figure doll. We also entered a raffle to win a giant cardboard promotional poster of Captain Jack, but had to watch some other girl carry him away.

Some day we’ll meet Captain Jack… we thought.

And then we traveled to the Happiest Place on Earth where our beloved Captain Jack had his very own pirate ride. Rumor had it there was 3 animatronics Captain Jack’s in the newly improved Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland and we were going to find them all.

Watch a video of Johnny Depp riding the new Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland

“Just think the real Captain Jack (Johnny Depp) stood right there next to the animatronics Captain Jack.” Chingpea exclaimed.

“I know!” I said.

This was our second time to ride the pirate’s ride and we were just as excited as the first time.

“The animatronics Captain Jack’s look so real, don’t they.” I stated.

“Yeah they do.” She replied.

When the ride was over we stood outside the exit listening to a few pirates sing the pirate song…

Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for me…

We sang along reveling in pirate spirit when a man with a scarf tied around his pirate locks walked by.

“Was that who I think it was?” I asked.

“Captain Jack!” Chingpea exclaimed as we quickly began to pursue him.

So did the crowd around us… Captain Jack was being followed by a mob.

Captain Jack talking to a baby!

He stopped to pay attention to babies and children, merely glancing at the women swooning in his direction and never breaking character to pose for pictures. We had trouble keeping up with him.

Trying to get close to Captain Jack

Walking with Captain Jack!

Chingpea photo op...

He was Captain Jack even if he wasn’t Johnny Depp. Just like Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Belle who roam the Happiest Place on Earth looking exactly like their movie or animated characters. Disney now had Captain Jack too. He was perfectly pirate in every way.

“Argh!”

“Yum!”

Some day we’ll meet the original Captain Jack, Johnny Depp… we sighed.

Nothing like the real thing baby...

I want to be your Capt. Jack. When are you ladies coming back with another episode? Where did your old ones go? What happened to Bambi?

Just missing you that's all.

They will come back with another episode of Smalltown Girls when someone has time to edit shows, or if a sponsor offers to pay for them...

Captain Jack is good in the Second movie. I don't care what the critics say...
